Elgato’s Stream Deck pedal adds hands-free control for PC tools

Elgato is putting more control on streamers’ fingers — or should we say toes — with the launch of the Stream Deck pedal.

The $89.99 Stream Deck pedal connects to Mac and Windows PC and provides hands-free control for every action available on the standard Elgato Stream Deck.

Although the pedals have just three controls, Elgato explains that with Multi Action “any number of actions can be stringed together, assigned to a pedal, and performed intermittently or all at once.” can be triggered.” An example Elgato provided was a pedal press taking a screenshot, opening the folder where the screenshot was saved, and launching Twitter to streamline the sharing process.

Since the Stream Deck pedal is a 16-ft. can be connected using up to USB-C Cable, you don’t need to sit at your desk to use it. “Go live, toggle cameras and more without reaching for your PC,” says Elgato.

The hands-free nature of the Stream Deck pedal also allows it to serve as an accessibility tool for those who may not be able to use the Stream Deck’s manual controls, The Verge notes.

Elgato says the Stream Deck pedal can also be used in-game as an additional set of controls, in presentations to move through slides, and with various editing software. With Smart Profiles, the actions assigned to each pedal can change automatically based on the app you’re running on the computer. Users can also customize the feel of the pedal with the various springs that come in the package.

The product announcement coincides with the launch of Elgato’s official Discord Stream Deck plugin, which can toggle mic mute, toggle deaf, push-to-talk, push-to-mute, and sound across voice or text channels. Can join and leave.

The Stream Deck pedal is available now, and should be shipped in one to two weeks.
